Until the advent of taxis around 1900, they were an important part of public transportation in Vienna.

Today, those horse-drawn cabs are very popular with tourists as a leisurely way of sightseeing in the center of the city.

An elegant carriage, a driver with a bowlerhat and two beautiful horses: that´s what makes a Fiaker and the most traditional and romantic way for you to discover Vienna. You can drive through the Inner City just like in the old times of the Empire. You will move quickly but still slowly enough to relish all the sights on your way.
